Greek Chicken Meatballs

Chicken meatballs are a great mid-week dinner and are always a favourite. They come together quickly and boast all of the flavours of a trip to Greece. Fry them until golden and then serve with a Greek salad for a full Mediterranean meal.

Ingredients:

  • 500g ground chicken

  • ½ cup flour or bread crumbs

  • ½ red onion, chopped

  • ¼ cup feta cheese, crumbled

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp dried parsley

  • 1 tsp dried dill

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Method:

  1. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients above. Use your hands to mix everything really well.

  2. Roll about 1 tablespoon of meat into a ball using your hands. Repeat until all of the meatballs are made.

  3. Heat a pan to medium-high heat and then add some olive oil to coat the pan. Once the pan is heated, add the meatballs and fry on each side until golden brown.

  4. Reduce the temperature to medium-low heat and cover the pan with a lid to cook the meatballs through.

  5. Serve with tzatziki and a fresh Greek salad. Enjoy!
