Hi, I’m Simonette

My love for food began long before I became a personal chef and health coach. Growing up in South Africa, my dad had a massive garden where he grew so much of what we ate. He would harvest veg from the garden, and we would need to figure out what we were going to do with it all. I loved to get creative with what we would make.

With my dad being a pilot, I've been very fortunate to experience a rich variety of cultures, cuisines, and traditions that continue to inspire my cooking today. Combined with my Italian roots, these experiences have shaped my appreciation for flavorful meals made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

From a very young age, if you had to ask me what my dream job would be, I would say it was to be a chef. I also love entrepreneurship, so I ended up studying Business Management in Stellenbosch. Seeing as I already knew how to cook and I learned through trial and error, culinary school didn’t take precedence for me.

My work as a health coach complements my culinary approach by helping clients build sustainable habits and a positive relationship with food. Rather than focusing on restriction, I believe in creating balance through delicious meals that support overall well-being and fit naturally into everyday life.

One of my greatest passions is cooking with seasonal produce. I love visiting local farmers' markets and working with ingredients at their peak, allowing each season to inspire new recipes.
